City of Miami Commission on First Reading
September 4, 2009.

second reading.
During the planning phase of Miami 21, the
City of Miami was divided into four quadrants
(north, south, east, and west) for the purpose
of studying the City, mapping the new zones, and
holding community meetings. Below are
quadrant archives which reflect the progression
of the work accomplished.
To the north by the northern City limits from NW 17th Avenue
to I-95;
To the east by I-95 from the northern City limits to SR-836;
To the south by SR-836 from I-95 to 37th Avenue;
To the west by 37th Avenue from SR-836 to NW 20th Street, by
the west/north-western City limits along NW 20th Street from
37th Avenue to the western City limit on NW 27th Avenue; and by
the western City limits from NW 20th Street to NW 71st Street.
To the north by SW 16th Street from the
western City limit to SW 12th Avenue; by
SW 12th Avenue from SW 16th Street to
SW 11th Street; by SW 11th Street from
SW 12th Avenue to I-95; by I-95 from SW
11th Street to SW 15th Road; and by SW
15th Road from I-95 to Biscayne Bay;
To the east by Biscayne Bay from SW 15th
Road to the southern City limits (North
Prospect Drive);
To the south by the southern City limits from

To the north/north-west by the north-western
City limits from SW 8th Street, along the
Tamiami Canal to Lejeune Road/NW 42nd Avenue, by NW 20th Street from Lejeune
Road/NW 42nd Avenue to SR-836; and by
SR-836 from Lejeune Road to the Miami
River;
To the east by the Miami River from SR-836
to I-95; and by I-95 from the Miami River
to SW 11th Street;
To the south by SW 11th Street from I-95 to
SW 12th Avenue; by SW 12th Avenue from
SW 11th Street to SW 16th Street; by SW
16th Street from SW 12th Avenue to the
western City limits/SW 37th Avenue
following the City limits; (by the western
City limits/SW 37th Avenue from SW 16th
Street to SW 8th Street; by the City limits
shared with the City of Coral Gables along
the latter’s NE perimeter from the
intersection of SW 37th Avenue and SW 8th
Street to the point midblock on SW 8th
Street between Boabadilla Street and SW

point midblock on SW 8th Street between
Boabadilla Street and SW 39th Avenue to
